Dawn Chorus Walk - Free

A unique opportunity to join our National Trust ranger for a Dawn Chorus walk on the Golden Cap Estate.

Come and join our National Trust rangers for an early morning stroll around Stonebarrow, through a mosaic of acid grassland, heath, scrub and old hedgerows. There will be stunning views over Lyme Bay and across the Golden Cap Estate, with birds singing in the background. We’ll be listening out for the chorus of birds and looking out for any other nature we may spot on the way - the site is great for a range of reptiles and butterflies, and in May there should be a good showing of wildflowers too.

No prior knowledge of birdsong is necessary as we will discuss everything we hear on the way.

Dress warmly as it’s always chillier than you think first thing in the morning! Please wear sensible footwear with good grips as some paths can get muddy and will be wet with dew.

Feel free to bring cameras, phones with Bird song ID apps such as Merlin and binoculars (though we have a small number of binoculars we can lend out if required).

Please note:
