Have you ever wondered what is under the ground at Wicken Fen? Deep, dark, damp peat, which has taken thousands of years to accumulate.

Did you know, UK peatlands store over 3 billion of tonnes of carbon? Children can choose from a range of fun activities and crafts to 'discover the dirt' and the creatures that live in it.

Please note:

• Check in at the Visitor Centre a few minutes before the start of the event.
• Leave your best clothes at home and dress for the weather, with sunhats or waterproofs as necessary.
• We will be using grassy areas and unsurfaced paths that may not be suitable for wheelchairs or certain pushchairs. Assistance dogs only.
• Children aged 5+ Must be accompanied
• No admission charge for non-members, but £3.20 car park charge applies. Members are asked to bring their membership cards for scanning.
