Summer Solstice Celebration
Celebrate the Summer Solstice by spending a relaxing evening full of mindfulness, poetry, art and classical music.
It’s no secret that Hidcote looks especially magical when bathed in the early evening light.
Join us to celebrate the Summer Solstice, where you'll be able to spend the evening strolling through Hidcote’s many ‘garden rooms’ as the sun sets, whilst enjoying catering from one of three delicious food trucks, and a bar to really make an occasion of it.
There will be classical music to create a lovely relaxing atmosphere, a poetry trail throughout the garden, tai chi sessions, and the chance to visit Hidcote's embroidery exhibition in the early evening light.
Why not relax and read a book on the Great Lawn, have a game of boules, or even sit at an easel and do some painting (easels and supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own).
Feel free to make yourself comfortable with picnic blankets and chairs, but please note that only food and drink purchased at Hidcote can be consumed on site.
Please note:
- Our friendly team will check you in from Visitor Reception.
- Please bring weather-appropriate clothing. Sturdy shoes, waterproofs and warm layers are advisable, as the garden can become chilly after sunset.
- Guests with accessibility needs will be able to enjoy our Golden Hour Evenings via our accessible route around the garden, which is wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
- The activities on offer are more aimed at adults, however families are welcome.
- Only food and drink purchased at the event is to be consumed on-site.
- Refunds are not available unless the event is cancelled by Hidcote.
- This is an outdoor event and will run whatever the weather.
