Guided walk at Wallington: River Walk
Join our knowledgeable volunteers for a walk through the formal gardens and along the River Wansbeck, discovering more about how this special place has changed over the years.
Find out where the ‘Great Wallington Railway’ ran and learn how we’re creating homes for wildlife across the estate. The walk is 2.6 miles (4.2km) and will take roughly 1 hour 30 minutes. A leisurely walk suitable for beginners/ intermediate level of fitness.
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet at the Clocktower.
- Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing/ sun protection are recommended.
- Route includes woodland, gravel and grass paths and some stepping stones (for which an alternative route across a bridge is available). There are a couple of sections which can become muddy in wet weather. There are some benches on the route.
- Children must be accompanied.
- Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome to join.
