Guided walk at Wallington: Coombe Hill Walk

Join a volunteer led guided walk exploring farmland on the Wallington estate

Find out where love blossomed for a shepherd and poultry maid during the Second World War as well as other stories and history from Wallington. The walk is 3.5 miles (5.6kms) long and takes about 1 hour 30 minutes.

This walk is suitable for a tramper, enabling those with limited mobility to join the walk. To book a tramper space, please contact the Wallington office by telephone (01670 773606) to see if a tramper is available. Please let the team know you'd like to attend the walk. The route isn't suitable for regular wheelchairs or mobility scooters, but for more robust trampers designed for uneven or steep terrain.

Please note:

  • Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
  • Meet at the Clocktower.
  • Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing/ sun protection are recommended. Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome to join.
  • This walk includes a mixture of terrain including woodland and grass paths and some uphill sections and there may be farm animals on route.  A reasonable level of fitness is required, but the walk has a couple of resting points with seating. Suitable for a tramper, which needs to be booked directly with Wallington by telephone.
  • Ages 12+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome to join.
