Word Fest- Children's creative writing workshop with Alex Townley
Learn to create your own stories.
Ever wanted to explore another world? We will be creating our own fantasy worlds, filled with strange creatures, brave (or maybe not so brave) heroes, and writing stories to see what kind of epic quest they might be involved in. Come along and let your imagination run wild.
Alex is a writer based in north Staffordshire. She studied Drama at university, and she's written and produced script readings for the theatre for many years.
She is also a qualified journalist with a decade of experience writing for local newspapers in North Worcestershire.
Alex has just completed her first novel for young adults which she is in the process of sending out to literary agents, and she currently works as a celebrant for funerals and weddings, as well as facilitating creative writing workshops for children and community groups.

Please note:
- Meet at visitor reception.
- There are 14 steps between the car park and the venue.
- The workshop is aimed at children.
- Parents/carers will be able to stay in the room during the event. Entrance to the garden for 1 child is included in the price.
