WordFest- Creative Writing workshop

A creative writing workshop for adults with Alex Townley.

Using the beautiful surroundings at Biddulph Grange Garden as inspiration, we will explore the importance of place and setting in writing, bringing all of our senses into play, and looking at how locations change depending on who is seeing them and how they are being seen.

Alex is a writer based in north Staffordshire. She studied Drama at university, and she's written and produced script readings for the theatre for many years.

She is also a qualified journalist with a decade of experience writing for local newspapers in North Worcestershire.

Alex has just completed her first novel for young adults which she is in the process of sending out to literary agents, and she currently works as a celebrant for funerals and weddings, as well as facilitating creative writing workshops for children and community groups.
