Get out in nature on Saturday 7 June and connect with the landscape that inspired Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poetry on a walk along part of the Coleridge Way.

Join a walk leader from the Quantock Hills Partnership Scheme, supported by Coleridge Cottage's walking volunteers, and explore the beauty of the Quantock Hills. 

Join a short tour of Alfoxton, through Holford, up Woodlands Hill, along the Coleridge Way. Enjoy readings from Wordsworth's, Dorothy's and Coleridge's works throughout.

Please note:

  • Meet at Tom Poole Library, Nether Stowey, TA5 1LN
  • Please dress for the weather and wear study footwear suitable for walking. No flip flops or heeled shoes. Please bring water and snacks.
  • Please keep in mind that these walks include uneven terrain and may be hilly in places. The climb up Woodlands is long and steep, otherwise relatively easy. Stops for readings from William Wordsworth, Dorothy Wordsworth and Coleridge. Please note the length of the walk when booking. There are toilet facilities at the beginning and end of the walk.
  • These walks are unsuitable for children and dogs.
