Join this circular walk around beautiful open countryside on Saturday 7 June and visit the remains of two medieval castles.

Join a walk leader from the Quantock Hills Partnership Scheme, supported by Coleridge Cottage's walking volunteers, and explore the beauty of the Quantock Hills. 

Admire beautiful open countryside and visit the remains of two medieval castles - the impressive earthwork motte and bailey of Nether Stowey Castle Mount and the romantic ruins of Stogursey Castle on this 6 mile walk. 

Dogs on a lead are welcome on this walk.

Please note:

  • Meet at Tom Poole Library, Nether Stowey, TA5 1LN.
  • Please dress for the weather and wear study footwear suitable for walking. No flip flops or heeled shoes. Please bring water and snacks.
  • Please keep in mind that these walks include uneven terrain and may be hilly in places. Total ascent is 130m; generally easy walking apart from the ascent to Nether Stowey Castle which is steep. Please note the length of the walk when booking. There are toilet facilities at the beginning and end of the walk.
  • These walks are unsuitable for children.
