Festival of Archaeology – Family Walk

Step back in time on a family-friendly walk led by professional archaeologist Dr Wendy Morrison, Heritage & Archaeology Manager for the Chilterns National Landscape.

Enjoy a gentle one-hour stroll along the edge of Dunstable Downs, where Dr Morrison will reveal clues hidden in the landscape: from prehistoric settlements to more recent archaeological finds. 

Along the way, young explorers can join in with a special Eye Spy challenge, spotting key features as they walk.

  • 10.30am-11.30am 
  • Free, booking recommended. 
  • The Nationwide Festival of Archaeology is an annual event coordinated by the Council for British Archaeology.

  • Please meet at the Visitor Centre.
  • Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather and terrain.
  • This event is held along our multi-user access path and will be experienced at a gentle pace.
