A one year anniversary walk through the Borrowdale Rainforest NNR
Join Nature Reserve Officer Jade for a guided walk to mark the first anniversary of the declaration of the Borrowdale Rainforest National Nature Reserve.
Come and explore the temperate rainforest and learn more about this rare and fascinating habitat.
Listen in as Jade shows you different species of lichen and mosses and look out for birds and other animals that call this woodland home.
You will also get a glimpse into the work the National Trust team have been doing to protect the rainforest over the last 12 months and what our plans are for the future.
Please note:
- Meet at Seatoller National Trust car park
- Dress for the weather forecast, wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit muddy
- There is a gradual ascent through a field and wood, a steep descent through the woodland (rocky section), and a small rocky scramble above the water with chain to help.
- Suitable for 12 years and over
