Introduction to Weaving Workshop
Have a go at some heritage crafts with this half-day weaving workshop. A hands-on experience perfect for beginners and craft enthusiasts alike.
Try something new and have a go at weaving in this half a day workshop using a mini-fixed-heddle loom led by craft experts.
During your workshop, learn how to:
- Put on a warp
- How to weave a plain or tabby weave
- Try out different yarns and other materials
This workshop includes a hot drink (hot chocolate, tea, or filter coffee) from the cafe kiosk. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to take home the samples you have woven which will be a mix of wool and other materials.

Please note:
- Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet at the Park Centre, next to the Hardwick Ponds. There is a separate car park for this location. Please do not park in the main Hardwick Car Park.
- A hot drink is included, but please bring any snacks you may need throughout the day.
- There is an accessible toilet and parking close to the Park Centre. This workshop takes place on the ground floor with a small step to get into the workshop room.
- Suitable for children aged 14 or over.
