Petworth Late: Chichester Pride

The evening opens with music and a welcome, followed by a live poetry performance in the Carved Room by award-winning spoken word artist Kavita Hansla. Later, visit her poetry-on-demand station in the Little Dining Room, where Kavita will create personalised poems for visitors.
Enjoy contemporary electric violin from Stardust Strings and cabaret performances by Dawn Gracie and The Madame in the Square Dining Room. Our Marble Hall bar will be open throughout the evening with music and a relaxed atmosphere, and guests are welcome to watch the sunset from the Mansion’s terrace as the park stays open from 7–10pm.
Take part in Lines of Beauty, a self-led drawing activity in the North Gallery exploring observation, identity and queer creativity. Sketch classical sculptures alongside historic costumier Christina Cilano, posing informally among the artworks from 7–8.30pm.
Volunteer spotlight talks in the Red Room will highlight the Head of Aphrodite sculpture and its classical resonance.

Please note:
- Please arrive to our Church Lodge Reception, by St. Mary's Church, Church Street.
Doors open 6.30-7.30pm. Event runs 7-10pm. - The house is on the lower ground floor with step free access. The Chapel can be viewed through windows, or via eight steps. There is one step into Church Lodge reception which can also be accessed by a ramp.
- Children and families warmly welcomed.
- Our main visitor car park will not be open for this event. Please park in Petworth town and arrive via our Church Lodge Reception which is located on Church Street, by St. Mary’s Church.
- Pre-booking is advised, tickets can also be purchased on the door.
- A pay-for bar is available in the Marble Hall.
