Guided walk at Cogden - Wild Flower Meadows
To celebrate National Meadows Day we are inviting you to join our Ecology volunteers for a guided walk down to Cogden beach and learn about the plants and flowers which grow on this SSSI protected, pebble beach.
This free guided walk will take around 2 hours and will be led by our National Trust, Ecology volunteers. They have a wealth of knowledge about the plants and wildlife at Cogden beach and will be delighted to share some of this information with you on this special morning.
National Meadows Day occurs on the first Saturday of July each year, celebrating the beauty and ecological importance of meadows across the UK.
Please note:
- Meet at the National Trust, Cogden Car park.
- Weather appropriate clothing is essential. Wear shoes with a good grip and covered toes. Keep an eye on the weather as heavy rain or high winds may result in this event being rescheduled.
- We walk down an incline from the car park to the beach and the back up. Whilst the walk is not far in terms of distance we may be stood up for some time. Some people may find the pebbles on the beach difficult to walk on. There are no toilets at this site. The nearest facilities are at Hive Beach.
- Suitable for children
