'Dress through the ages' talk by Dr. Serena Dyer
Complimenting our 'Dress to Impress' exhibition is this talk by Dr. Serena Dyer, Fashion Historian, on dressing through the ages.
Dr Serena Dyer FRHistS AFHEA is a historian, broadcaster, and curator, specialising in the history of fashion, shopping and material culture in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- In the Gold Room, the main salon in the mansion.
- A volunteer-run shuttle bus service runs from the visitor welcome area to the house entrance, subject to availability. The entrance to the house is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilet facilities (including an accessible toilet and changing facilities) are available on site.
- The house can be cold, so please dress appropriately.
- This talk is mostly aimed at adults, but children are welcome.
- No dogs allowed inside the house except for assistance dogs.
- Please bring proof of tickets on the day.
- The café will be open serving light refreshments.
