Volunteering Taster Days
Every thought about volunteering, but aren't sure if it's for you? Why not book a space on one of our Taster Days for a chance to experience it first hand?
Do you enjoy talking to people, learning about and sharing the stories of a beautiful historic house? If so, we would like to invite you to join a volunteer taster session at Melford to meet the team, participate in a few tasks and have a cup of tea or coffee and an informal chat to learn more about volunteering with the National Trust.
We are recruiting for Visitor Welcome Volunteers and House Experience Volunteers. Our Taster Sessions give you the opportunity to try both of these roles before deciding whether you want to join the team. There will also be opportunity to ask questions about what the roles involve and more about volunteering at Melford Hall.
This event is free, but please book.
Please note:
- Please park in the main car park and meet the team in the courtyard in front of the Hall. Our Welcome team will point you in the right direction.
- The Welcome role is mostly based outside, so please check the weather and wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the day.
- If you have any access considerations, please contact the property team who will be happy to discuss them with you.
- Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. 16 and 17 year olds must have parent/guardian permission.
