Dry stone walling at Maer Cliff
Join local National Trust rangers who’ll be leading Cornish hedge building workshops on Maer Cliff.
A rare opportunity to learn the traditional skill of building a Cornish hedge. You’ll also hear fascinating insight into how Maer Cliff is managed to benefit wildlife.
All equipment, tools and gloves will be provided.
Please note:
- Meet on site along Maer Down bridleway. What3Words: ///handwriting.juggle.legroom
- Please dress for the weather. Sturdy footwear or walking boots are recommended; ideally steel toe cap boots if you have them. Please bring your own refreshments including plenty of water.
- The workshop is in a coastal meadow and is accessed along tarmacked and naturally surfaced paths. There are slopes and uneven ground.
- Suitable for children but U18's must be accompanied by an adult.
- There are no public toilets at Northcott Mouth. The nearest facilities are at Crooklets beach car park.
- In hot weather we suggest wearing a hat and plenty of suncream. Please bring plenty of water.
