Benthall Hall Victory in Europe Celebration
Bring a picnic and enjoy an evening celebrating 80 years since Victory in Europe at the end of the Second World War.
In the peaceful surroundings of Benthall Hall, enjoy a picnic with family and friends, feel free to dress up in 1940s era clothing, and join us in an evening of celebration for the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe.
On the front lawn, enjoy listening to 1940s classics sung by “The Ronnies”.
Take a look around a display of Morgans presented by the Staffordshire Morgan Sports Car Club.
Browse our Artisan Crafts Fair inside St Bartholomew’s Church.
Join an exclusive evening tour of Benthall Hall, led by our expert volunteer team, to learn more about what Benthall Hall was used for during the war and how the Benthall family contributed to the war effort.
Finally, you can watch as we test out parachutes made from jute with the help of teddy bears! The event will take place Sunday 13th July from 6pm to 8pm.
Light refreshments will be available from the Shepherd Shed.
Please note:
- Park in the visitor car park where you will greeted by a member of staff.
- It is an outdoor event, so dress appropriately for the weather.
- Step free access around the garden, with a grassy incline to the front lawn. Steps around the house.
- Suitable for everyone.
