Home Educators Self-led Sessions
Come along to an outdoor meet up with other home educators at Studland.
We will provide resources and suggested activities for you to do with the children. There will be a mix of nature themed activities for different ages and all ages are welcome. Having the woodland, dunes and beach, Studland is a perfect place to follow nature through the seasons and find out about the different plants and animals that live here.
This is a new session we are trialling during June and July. Feed back cards will be available on the day to help us shape sessions and resources going forward. We are asking people to book on so we can gauge numbers for resources. You only need to book places for the children you are bringing.
These sessions will run during the BCP and Dorset school term time, on alternating Mondays of the month to our nature tots sessions. Please see the dates below. We are a completely outdoor setting, so dress for the weather. We have a water refill station opposite visitor reception, in the area behind the changing places, as well as toilet and café facilities.
Please note:
- Meet at the picnic benches on the grass area, in front of the discovery centre. This is the first turning left as you come down the Knoll Beach driveway.
- Dress for the weather as these are completely outdoor sessions.
- There is flat access form the carpark to the meeting area. The site is mixed and uneven terrain throughout, sand, mud, grass and gravel. There are varying inclines.
- We do have 2 beach buggies, 2 manual beach wheelchairs and an electric beach wheelchair that can be hired free of charge. To book or for further enquiries, please email studlandbay@nationaltrust.org.uk or phone 01929 450500.
- Accompanied children of all ages welcome.
