Dragons and Dipping
Pond dipping at Wicken Fen, but with a twist and for slightly older children and families!
As well as delving into the pond, we'll be going for a short guided walk, to search for dragonflies (and damselflies) on the wing. Plus a chance to listen underwater, using a hydrophone.
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Check in at the Visitor Centre a few minutes before the start of the event.
- Leave your best clothes at home and dress for the weather, with sunhats or waterproofs as necessary.
- We will be using grassy areas and unsurfaced paths that may not be suitable for wheelchairs. Assistance dogs only.
- Family session, suitable for children age 10+. Must be accompanied.
- Normal admission applies for non-members. Members are asked to bring their membership cards for scanning.
