Three Trails to the Tower Guided Hike

6 mile (9.5km) guided walk, following the Woodland Trail, Etherley Farm Loop and Heathland Trail to Leith Hill Tower and Duke’s Warren showcasing the rich diversity of landscape at Leith Hill.

This moderate to strenuous circular route will take around 3 1/2 hours including a 20-minute break half way around and a 10-minute view stop on the final leg. Starting at the Rhododendron Wood at Leith Hill, an area of outstanding natural beauty, you will see stunning views and your guide will point out key highlights that make this area special.

The route involves a steady climb, including 190 steep steps, to Leith Hill Tower and two descents. Some of the paths are rough and stony with exposed tree roots. There will be approximately 760 feet of ascent. We are on a hill after all! The hike will go ahead in all weathers and some areas could be muddy. Walking poles may be useful.

Please bring water and a snack. Refreshments are also available at the kiosk at Leith Hill Tower. There are no toilet facilities during the walk. Your guide will tailor the pace, breaks (including ‘natural’ comfort breaks) and content based on the needs of the group. This is an interactive experience and we welcome questions and sharing experiences. There will be the option to visit Leith Hill Place at the end of the walk where refreshments are available. Free entry for NT members.

If you enjoy being outdoors in nature and are a regular walker this is the perfect way to explore the countryside, meet like-minded people and find out more about the Surrey Hills.

Normal car parking charges apply. NT members park for free.
