This 2.5-mile (4 km) walk is designed to be easy and enjoyable, so you can meet new people, discover new places, and gain confidence with walking in the countryside.

This easy circular guided walk will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Starting at the Rhododendron Wood Car Park at Leith Hill, an area of outstanding natural beauty, you will follow the Etherley Farm woodland trail taking you across a landscape of farmland and parkland. Your guide will stop at intervals to talk about the rich diversity of habitats for wildlife and nature.

The route is gently undulating with approximately 350 feet of ascent. The walk will go ahead in all weathers and some areas could be muddy. Walking poles are optional.

Please bring water. Toilet facilities available at Leith Hill Place at the end of the walk. This is an interactive experience and we welcome questions and sharing experiences. There will be the option to visit Leith Hill Place towards the end of the walk. (Free entry for NT members.)

Please note:

• The walk will start and end at the Rhododendron Wood Car Park with an optional visit to Leith Hill Place.
• Please bring water. Appropriate outdoor clothing is required, walking boots etc.
• Toilet facilities available at Leith Hill Place at the end of the walk. No accessible toilets but large cubicles.
• Suitable for children 12+, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
• Normal car parking charges apply. NT members park for free.
