'100 things to wear'- a talk by Emma Slocombe

The last in a series of talks accompanying the 'Dress to Impress' exhibition at Polesden Lacey.

Emma Slocombe, Senior National Curator at the National Trust, will talk about her new book, '100 Things to Wear: Fashion from the Collections of the National Trust', due to be published in Autumn 2025.

Please note:

  • Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
  • Meet in the Gold Room, the main salon in the mansion.
  • The house can be cold, so please dress appropriately.
  • A volunteer-run shuttle bus service runs from the visitor welcome area to the house entrance, subject to availability.
  • The entrance to the house is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilet facilities (including an accessible toilet and changing facilities) are available on site.
  • The talk is mostly aimed at adults but children are welcome.
  • No dogs allowed inside the house except for assistance dogs.
  • Please bring proof of tickets on the day.
  • The café will be open serving light refreshments.
