Give a family trail run a go this summer at Ilam Park. Led by our Leader in Running Fitness, this relaxed 3.5km explores Ilam's trails along the River Manifold and across the parkland.

Give family trail running a go with Ilam Park's Summer of Play! This relaxed, relatively flat route follows the snaking river path for 2.5km before returning to the stableyard via the parkland. Our experienced Leader in Run Fitness will lead a warm up and guide you through some of the challenges of trail running. family runners do not need any previous trail running experience but need to be able to run 3.5km with breaks.

Bring running trainers with a bottle of water.

Your guide is a qualified Leader in Running Fitness specialising in trail running. There will be breaks along the route. The route follows uneven ground.

Please note:

• Meet us at the Welcome Hut.
• Dress for the weather, and make sure you've got comfy running shoes.
• The route will run down to the river, along the Manifold valley and then back up across the parkland. The route will go up slopes however there will be breaks and pauses in the run.
• Event suitable for adults and children 10+.
• Ilam Park is open to everyone and there is no admission charge. There is only a charge for car parking £6 for 4 hours and £8 all day, National Trust members and blue badge holders park for free.
• The Manifold Tearoom (upstairs) and Coach House Kiosk (downstairs) are open throughout the summer holidays, serving a range of delicious food, drinks and all important ice creams! Please note we do not allow BBQs, fires or cooking of any kind on site. We do welcome picnics but ask that you take all your litter home with you or use the bins provided.
