Martens on the Move launch event at Wallington - guided walks
Join the Martens on the Move team as they celebrate the launch of the English Pine Marten Haven Site here at Wallington with guided walks around the woodlands.
Martens on the Move is working in partnership with Wallington to support the recovery of pine martens in north England and our Pine Marten Haven will demonstrate how woodlands can be improved for pine martens and other wildlife.
With interpretation at the wildlife hide and along the nature trail there are opportunities to learn more about this engaging and elusive species.
These guided walks will follow the nature trail, taking you through different habitats as the guides tell you about the wildlife living there, explaining how it can benefit pine martens, and how pine martens will enhance it further.
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Please meet in the courtyard by the clocktower at least 5 minutes ahead of your guided walk start time.
- The only seating on this route is in the wildlife hide. There are no toilet facilities on the route.
- Under 14's must be accompanied by an adult
- The walk will take up to an hour and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
