Cultivating balcony creativity with Cloud Gardener (Sky Gardening Challenge)

Join Sky Gardening Challenge Judge, Cloud Gardener Jason Williams, for an inspiring talk about balcony garden design, followed by a practical workshop.

You’ll learn all about designing gardens in small spaces, hear Jason’s top tips for getting creative on balconies and you’ll also get to take part in a practical planting workshop and Q&A.

Jason, also known as Cloud Gardener, is an award-winning garden designer, fresh from studying urban greening in China and Singapore, and is an Urban Living Expert and Presenter for RHS Chelsea Flower Show. During the pandemic, Jason started gardening on his 18th floor balcony and slowly found the therapeutic qualities of gardening. The aim of Cloud Gardener UK is to inspire a new generation of urban gardener and encourage more urban residents to maximise on their unique growing spaces like a patio, terrace or balcony garden, in an accessible way.

At the end of the session, you’ll take home your plant pot, which gives you enough to enter our ‘One Pot Power’ competition category.

This is a Sky Gardening Challenge event, aimed at those who live in flats and apartments with balconies or window boxes, across Greater Manchester.
