Cricket skills with Durham Cricket: Summer of Play at Crook Hall Gardens

Have wicket fun playing sport!

Bat, bowl, and field your way to success in this fun cricket skills session, where kids can learn techniques and improve their game with hands-on coaching.

Cricket skills is an under 18 event to get children moving and learning new skills within a team. Bring along a blanket to watch your child from the edge of the field.

If there are any no-shows on the day, we may be able to welcome a few extra children to join, so it’s always worth checking in.

Please arrive at the field ready for the start time of the session. This event is free, please book in advance.

Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank and supported by Sport England.

Please note:

  • Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Meet at the activity field at the back of Crook Hall Gardens. Please ask at Visitor Reception if you are unsure.
  • Please wear SPF or raincoat - whatever the weather, there's always time to play.
  • These sessions will take place on our grassy field, where terrain can be a bit bumpy. There is an approx. 1.5m sloped incline into the field. If you have any questions about accessibility, please email crookhallgardens@nationaltrust.org.uk.
  • Suitable for ages 5+.
