Sand sculpture workshops at Anglesey Abbey
Come and learn from Sand in Your Eye's masterful sculptors and make your own sand sculpture this summer!
Join us on 13 August for some exciting sand sculpture workshops led by Sand in Your Eye and their talented team.
Come along for a 45-minute workshop where you'll learn tips and techniques to create your own tabletop dolphin, turtle and epic sandcastles. Participants will get a sticker and certificate to take home at the end of the session. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
The time on your ticket is the event start time so please allow time to reach the space on East Lawn. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. We would advise, where possible, for just one accompanying adult per child due to limited spacing. Tickets only need to be purchased for children participating.
During the day, you'll also be able to watch the sculptors at work as they create a giant replica of the Anglesey Abbey house out of sand! This will take place in front of the house.
Sand In Your Eye are a team of enthusiastic creatives based in West Yorkshire, composed of a talented squad of freelance artists, sculptors and workshop experts. Sustainability and climate consciousness is at the heart of what they do as a company. They campaign to educate people about the climate emergency and how to tackle it.
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Arrive at the Visitor Centre with your ticket.
- Please dress for the weather on the day - we advise brining sun cream and water. The event will take place under tipis so shelter from sun and rain will be provided.
- Route to event via grassy surfaces. Table height can be adjusted.
- Suitable for all ages (3+ advised).
