History tour of Washington Old Hall

Considered a ‘founding father’ of the United States, the country’s first president, George Washington, is often thought of as all-American.
However, his roots start here, at Washington Old Hall. Discover the history of this house and its journey through time, including its earliest years, what it tells us about 17th century life and its use in the 20th century.
Join volunteers for an hour long tour around the Hall and gardens.
Tours are free, but standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival. Admission is free for National Trust or Royal Oak members. Normal admission is £6.50 for an adult, £16.25 for a family.

- Please meet 15 minutes before your tour start time at the admissions desk.
- There's a flight of stairs to first floor of the hall. Outside, access to the lower gardens, nuttery and toilets is via steps. Level access can be arranged; please speak to a member of the team during your visit. If you have any questions about accessibility, please email: washington.oldhall@nationaltrust.org.uk.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
