Axe throwing with B Outdoors: Summer of Play at Crook Hall Gardens
Channel your inner warrior with family-friendly axe throwing. Ready to test your aim? Step up, take a deep breath, and hurl your axe!
Like the Vikings of Northumbria, choose your weapon and wield your axe. Practise technique, accuracy and strength, and whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned thrower, you’ll feel the rush of excitement as your axe lands with a satisfying thud.
Participants will be in small groups and take turns during the 30-minute timeslot.
Minimum age requirement 11+. Participants must dress according to the below requirements. All participants will be asked to sign a consent form at the start of the session.
Booking required, £3 per participant. Spectators and supervising adults do not need to purchase a ticket. Normal admission also applies.
Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank and supported by Sport England.
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Make your way to the activity field at the back of the gardens to meet Andy from BOutdoors. Staff at admissions will help direct you.
- Axe throwing will take place a 10-minute walk from the main entrance. Participants must meet at the session area at least 10 minutes before their session start time.
- Please wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear and ensure that arms and legs are covered. Those not dressed suitably will be unable to take part, and we’re unable to offer refunds in this case.
- The event takes place on a grassy field. There is a sloped paved incline up to the field, and a grassy medium-decline down into the field. If you have any questions about accessibility please email crookhallgardens@nationaltrust.org.uk.
- Age 11+. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- All participants will be asked to sign a consent form at the start of the session.
- We’re unable to offer refunds in any circumstances.
