Axe throwing with B Outdoors: Summer of Play

Like the Vikings of Northumbria wield your axe by practising technique, accuracy and strength. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned thrower, you’ll feel the rush of excitement as your axe lands with a satisfying thud.

Please note:

  • Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
  • Make your way to Green Close Field (next to Gibside Hall) and meet Andy from B Outdoors.. Visitor Reception will help direct you.
  • Please wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear and ensure that arms and legs are covered. Those not dressed suitably will be unable to take part, and we’re unable to offer refunds in these cases.
  • The event takes place on grass.
  • Minimum age requirement 11+. Under 18s must be supervised by a responsible adult.
  • Axe Throwing is a 20 minute walk from Visitor Reception. Participants must meet Andy 10 minutes before their session start time for the safety demonstration.
  • Late arrivals cannot be accommodated. 
  • All participants will be asked to sign a consent form at the start of the session. We’re unable to offer refunds in any circumstances.
