Guided 'Pride & Prejudice' step-free garden walk

Lyme is famous for having been the exterior of 'Pemberley' in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Austen's most popular novel, and to celebrate its 30th anniversary, join us for a step-free guided walk around some of the filming locations.

Discover the iconic filming locations of the BBC’s 1995 ‘Pride & Prejudice’ adaptation with this step-free walk around the garden at Lyme. You will visit the Italian Garden, where Elizabeth Bennet can be seen in the series, with the opportunity to recreate one of the series’ most recognisable shots of Lyme’s exterior.

Each guided walk will be led by one of our experienced and knowledgeable volunteers, and will last approx. 45 minutes. The walk is a step-free route, however it does encounter some inclines and uneven surfaces.

Please note:

  • Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
  • Meet in the courtyard at the house.
  • Wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.
  • This walk is step-free, however will encounter some inclines and uneven surfaces, so may be unsuitable for wheelchair users. Please ring the Estates Office if you require any further information.
