About the artist: Alex Stead is a watercolour artist based in Brampton, Cambridgeshire. He studied Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts and eventually became a storyboard artist, concept designer and visualiser working in London. He worked on music videos, computer games, short films, architectural proposals and adverts. He moved to Cambridgeshire with his family in 2018 and soon after acquired two ex-racing greyhounds, who inspired him to pick up the watercolour brushes and paint again. He now runs a weekly watercolour class in Brampton, accepts commissions for landscapes, house and pet portraits, and enjoys the challenge of painting anything new, exploring new techniques and encouraging others to pick up a brush.
