100 Things to Wear book launch at Anglesey Abbey

100 Things to Wear unveils the stories woven into the threads of the National Trust collection, hear from the specialist team behind the book.

Join us at Anglesey Abbey for a special event celebrating 100 Things to Wear, the new book that uncovers the remarkable stories woven into garments from the National Trust collection.

Hear from the specialist teams, including textile conservators, photographers, and researchers, who helped bring these histories to life, and gain unique insights from the book’s author, Emma Slocombe. Property Curator Roisin Semple will also speak about Tailoring an Image, this year’s menswear exhibition at Anglesey Abbey, open until 31 October.

Make sure you come and see the Tailoring an Image exhibition before the book launch, last entry into the house is at 3:30pm.

The event will include a panel discussion and a book signing following the talks.

Copies of 100 Things to Wear will be available to purchase at the event and from the National Trust Shop.

This event is free (normal admission applies), but please book your free ticket online via our website as there is a limited number of tickets available.

The book launch will take place in the Lower Gallery inside the house at Anglesey Abbey.

Please note:

  • Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
  • This event starts at the visitor centre, the exhibiton is within the historic house at Anglesey Abbey.
  • Please dress of the weather as some of the evening will be outside.
  • There is no step-free access to all areas of the exhibition, as some of the exhibition is upstairs in the house. Reduced access tickets are available for those unable to walk up stairs.
  • This event is aimed at adults.
