Family Rock Pooling - Seashore Survey - Lyme Regis
Join us for a free guided rock pooling event for children and families.
The rockpooling event will last for 1.5 hours and you will work with our team of National Trust ecologists who will help you identify everything you find.
In the last half hour we will run a show and tell session – talking about what we found and discussing their fascinating life cycles, adaptations, and habitats.
Please note:
- Meet at bottom of Charmouth Road Car Park steps to beach. ///tribe.sparkles.greyhound
- ESSENTIAL - Wear non slip footwear (slippy seaweed and rocks). Bring a bucket and net if you have them but we can provide. Sunscreen, sunhat and drink essential or wet weather items if raining.
- We will be walking across slippy seaweed and rocks. We must be mindful of lifting stones and replacing how we find them without injuring ourselves or anyone living underneath. We will aim to finish well before the tide comes in but will always be mindful of pools filling quickly even while tide appears still far out. At start of event we will run a health and safety brief.
- This event is suitable for children and families.
- When you make your booking please book one space which will be for your entire family. We will have space for 5 families.
