Join us as we welcome award-winning landscape designer Marian Boswall for a reading and signing of her latest book 'The Kindest Garden'.

Award-winning landscape designer Marian Boswall comes to Sissinghurst Castle for a reading and signing of her latest book 'The Kindest Garden'.

This relaxed, afternoon session will have Marian reading excerpts from the book in our Mediterranean garden room Delos, followed by a book signing in our Shop. 

Ticket holders will also have a chance to 'ask Marian' any burning questions from garden design to regenerative gardening. 

Session timings as follows: 

2pm - 2:30pm: Reading in the Delos garden, with opportunities for questions

2:30pm - 3pm: Book signing in the Shop

NOTE: This event is free. Standard admission to the garden applies. An alternate location for the reading will be offered in the event of wet weather.

About the book: Drawing on lessons from forward-thinking farmers, foresters, re-wilders and nature itself, 'The Kindest Garden' shows you how to create a garden that is both a beautiful sanctuary for yourself and also a place where nature can thrive. 

About the author: A leading landscape architect and horticulturalist with a reputation for creating beautiful regenerative landscapes often in sensitive places, Marian is known for her thoughtful and contextual design approach.

  • Please scan your membership cards or pay for entry at Visitor Reception. You will then be directed to the Delos garden where the first part of the session will take place.
  • This event has level access. Please refer to our step-free route around the garden to access the Delos garden.
