This spooky season at Speke Hall, Don't Go Into the Cellar return to Speke Hall as Jonathan Goodwin writes and performs this original theatre show of folk horror. An eerie and unsettling anthology of tales that explore the mystical and sometimes threatening hold our agricultural past exerts over the present day. An atmospheric piece of theatre, ideal for fans of The Wicker Man and Witchfinder General.
Enjoy cake and a drink in our Home Farm Restaurant (Flapjack or Salted Caramel Shortbread & Tea or Coffee) prior to the performance, before heading to the Great Hall.
17:45-19:30pm show:
Arrive for refreshments at 17.45, show starts at 18.30. Please do not arrive earlier than 17.40 as the restaurant will not be open.
19:15-21:00pm show:
Arrive for refreshments at 19.15, show starts at 20.00. Please do not arrive earlier than 19.10 as the restaurant will not be open.
Please note:
- Our Outdoor Events team will meet you at the Home Farm restaurant, where refreshments are available, before escorting you to the performance, which will take place in the Great Hall.
- It's best to dress warm as the Great Hall can become chilly at this time of year.
- All areas are fully accessible. There is a 5 minute walk up to the hall. If possible due to staffing levels, a shuttle buggy will be provided for those who need it, call ahead to confirm this.
- Suitable for ages 15 and over
