Twilight Bat Walks
Come along to the Borrowdale Rainforest to find some of the special animals that call this place home, Bats!
Taking place just after it gets dark, the time of day when Borrowdale's bats are coming out to fly and feed.
Enjoy a fun family-friendly introduction to bats before setting off on a guided walk with our bat detectors to see what you can find. It’s not just bats out at night, maybe you’ll hear the call of an owl or the scurry of a passing fox.
Please note:
- Please meet at Stonethwaite Farm, Keswick CA12 5XG
What3words: satin.convert.shave - This is an outdoor event so please wrap up warm, bring your waterproofs and wear suitable footwear. Remember to bring a headtorch as we will be heading out after dark.
- The session will be held mostly outdoors in fields.
- This event is suitable for children who are able to walk the distance and over rocky, muddy terrain. There is no age limit; however, children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
- Please meet at 5:45pm to set off at 6pm.
- Please leave your pet at home for this event.
