A Gory Story of Corfe Castle

Join our storytellers this October Half Term, for a brief insight into Corfe Castle’s grisly history!

Our storyteller will transport you to a time when murder plots unfolded, knights roamed, and dungeons held prisoners, all within the walls of Corfe Castle.

This is a family friendly event, however, please be aware that some of the topics include murder plots, defending a castle, and dungeons. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note:

  • Please meet outside the National Trust Tea-Rooms which is located in the village square. This is a 10/15 minute walk from the National Trust Car Park.

  • Please bring your own torch as this is an evening tour and wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather conditions.
  • This event will take you up steep slopes, steps and stairs. Please see our access statement for full details.
  • This is a family friendly event, children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Please note that this is an evening tour of the castle ruins. This tour will go ahead come rain or shine, it will only be cancelled if it is unsafe to go ahead.
