A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at Hanbury Hall

Join Behind the Door Productions for a one-man performance of A Christmas Carol at Hanbury Hall on Thursday 20 November.

‘Marley was dead: to begin with.’

On a snowy Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by a series of ghosts determined to show him how his cruel actions have affected the lives of others. Will Scrooge repent and accept the error of his ways or continue down his dark path?

This festive season, join Behind the Door Productions at Hanbury Hall for a one-man performance of this Christmas classic. This highly immersive and atmospheric production of A Christmas Carol captures the joy, humour and darkness of this traditional piece. A true festive classic, told as Dickens did to friends and family at Christmas time, this one-man performance is not to be missed.

The performance will begin at 7pm and the Courtyard Kitchen will be open from 6pm for drinks and refreshments. Pre-book a hot drink and mince pie at the checkout. Bring your own reusable cup for your hot drinks and get 25p off as a thank you for helping the environment and reducing the use of disposable cups.

Please note:

  • On arrival please enter via visitor reception, and then make your way up to the Hall. The performance will take place in the Great Hall.
  • We recommend bringing a torch as the path from the car park up to the Hall will be dark. The Hall can be chilly in the winter so we advise wearing layers.
  • Accessible for wheelchairs and scooters.
