Magical potion and wand making workshops
Be enchanted by the magic of potion making and wand crafting with workshops set within the magical surroundings of Bodiam Castle.
Whispers of magic beckon young witches and wizards to begin their journey into the art of spell craft. Join our Wizarding Workshops for immersive sessions filled with mystery, creativity, and fun. Each session is led by a magical host who brings the world of wizardry to life.
Potion Making Workshop (Age 5+): Following ancient recipes, young apprentices will measure, mix, and stir their own magical potion using cauldrons, measuring cups, funnels, and unique spell ingredients. Each child will take home their very own potion.
Wand Making Workshop (Age 4+): Children will craft a wand using air-drying clay, then take part in a spell-practice game using balloons. Each child will take home their wand, ready for future quests.
Saturday 18, Sunday 19, Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 October at 11.30am-12.20pm, 1pm-1.50pm and 2.30pm-3.20pm (approx. 50 mins).
£10 per ticket (includes both potion and wand sessions).
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Please meet at the sign in the castle courtyard.
- Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
- This event takes place inside the castle and is only accessible via a staircase and a step. The route to the castle includes gravel paths. The first-floor tower room is accessed via stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Other towers are accessible via a few steps.
