Attingham Walking Group

Join our Walk Leaders for a stroll around the Mile Walk. This activity is free but please book a space so we know how many walkers to expect. Check times and dates and book your space.

Coming to Attingham for the first time or looking for a new way to explore the estate, try joining one of our new friendly volunteer-led walking groups. These groups provide a friendly and relaxed environment with the aim of helping people to explore Attingham’s outdoors. Whether you’re doing the walk for fitness, wellbeing or simply to get outdoors, everyone is welcome.

To create a peaceful atmosphere, free from distractions, the Walking Group is not suitable for dog walkers. Parents or carers with young children (under 3) are welcome to bring them in a pram or sling.

Please note:

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the walk start time at Visitor Reception and let them know you are here for the Walking Group. You will meet your Walk Leaders in the Stables Courtyard.
  • Please wear clothing suitable for the weather on the day and sturdy footwear. Please bring a water bottle.
  • The paths around the Mile Walk are level and made from a compressed stone and sand surface. Paths can be uneven in places.
