'Behind the Seams' - manor tours
Charles Wade would invite close friends to his home, where he would dress in a variety of costumes from his collection. Every great theatre needs a costume department and luckily for Mr. Wade his was down the corridor.
‘Behind the Seams’ will take you to the heart of our exhibition, ‘Threads of Identity’. Your host will meet you and guide you on a short walk to the Manor. There they will share behind the scenes details about this year’s exhibition, ‘Threads of Identity. You will be introduced to some of the star costume pieces, now featuring in the new National Trust publication '100 Things to Wear'. Join us and immerse yourself in the world of Charles Wade. Afterwards enjoy a complimentary drink of your choice at the café.
Please note:
