The Mill by Candlelight – a Halloween tour of the Mill
Step into Dunham Massey's oldest building, where every shadow whispers stories from the past. Guided by the soft glow of candlelight, uncover the echoes of superstition and mysterious traditions etched into the very walls.
Join Mill Tour Guide Adam as he takes you back in time in this over 400 year old working mill. View historic witches marks and learn their history, explore Halloween traditions and experience the Mill in a brand new light!
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet at the entrance to the mill 5 minutes before your tour. The tour will start promptly.
- The Mill can get damp and cold, so please dress warmly. Please wear comfortable and appropriate footwear, as the light levels will be low and the floor uneven.
- The Mill has a narrow staircase inside, and steps leading down to the main door. The tour will include both the bottom floor and the top, and light levels will be low. The floor is uneven at points. There could be strong smells from the water or loud sounds of machinery during the tour. The tour is a moving tour, but seats can be provided if requested beforehand.
- Recommended age 12+
- 15 places available per tour.
- Toilets are located nearby.
