An Evening with Sir Tony Robinson: The House of Wolf
Join Sir Tony Robinson at the Riverside Theatre, Woodbridge in discussion with Time Team's Dr Helen Geake as he makes his adult fiction debut with The House of Wolf.
The iconic Baldrick in the Blackadder series and long-time presenter of Time Team, Sir Tony Robinson makes his fictional debut for adults with The House of Wolf, the first in a new historical series (The House of Aethelwolf) spanning the Anglo-Saxons, Alfred the Great and the making of England. Published in September, this book is said to be perfect for fans of Ken Follett and Bernard Cornwell and has been praised by historian Dan Jones as ‘A page-turner full of historical intelligence, wit and heart’.
Sir Tony Robinson is one of Britain’s foremost faces of popular history as presenter of 20 seasons of Channel 4’s archaeology series Time Team and creator of the worldwide icon Baldrick in the Blackadder TV series. He is also the author of over 30 award-winning children’s books and several adult non-fiction books, including an autobiography, No Cunning Plan.
Sir Tony will be joined in discussion by Time Team's Dr Helen Geake. Doors open at 6pm ready for the 45-minute talk to begin at 6.30pm. This will be followed by a 15-minute Q&A followed by a book signing. Books will be available to purchase on the night for £25.
The nearest car park is at Woodbridge train station, next door to the venue. Parking is free from 6pm.
