Performed inside the Charterhouse, this adaptation invites audiences to enjoy live theatre in one of the city’s most atmospheric buildings. It is a rare chance to see a well-loved story brought to life in a historic space. 

The show has been adapted and is performed by Paul Nolan, an actor, writer and director with more than four decades of experience in theatre. Playing all of the well-known characters, this intimate theatrical experience is sure to delight and enthral its audience. 

There is also a strong local connection to the story. In 1857, Sir Joseph Paxton, a landscape gardener, architect, and MP for Coventry, invited his friend Charles Dickens to give a reading of A Christmas Carol at the Coventry Corn Exchange. The event sold out almost immediately. 

This production is a heart warming Christmas offering for all ages, full of character and festive spirit.
