Missing Link - the Aberdulais to Glynneath dual carriageway construction-1990's
Join us for this hugely relevant talk on local and recent history.
Many will remember when the old road was the main access route - before the A465 was built - and lived through the disruption. Lyn James (Secretary of Neath Railway Historical Society) will be presenting this interesting talk with photos and engineering knowledge providing some insight of this significant piece of construction.
Please note:
- The talk will be in the Old Works Library - now our second hand bookshop. This white building is on the left as you enter our Aberdulais site (Neath, SA10 8EU) via the iron gates.
- It is a free to enter site. There is an option for a self-serve coffee or tea (donations welcomed). You may wish to bring snacks if you want to enjoy the site after the talk.
- The book-shop has a ramp to provide access for wheel chairs and the whole site is small with a flat, even path.
