Willow Weaving - Festive Stars
Come and make beautiful natural stars to decorate your door or home with willow weaver Amanda.
Join us in the festively decorated Music Hall at Fyne Court and make your own beautiful willow stars to take home.
Your teacher will be Amanda, she has been weaving in the local area for many years using willow from the Somerset levels. No experience is necessary for this workshop, as you will be given step by step guidance. You can choose to make large stars, small stars, rustic stars , a Swedish star, a garland of stars or small stars to decorate your tree it’s up to you.
All materials will be provided, just bring a sharp pair of secateurs if you have them and wear clothes you are comfortable getting dirty.
There'll be an emphasis on individual creativity and the enjoyment of working with natural materials, as well as learning some of the techniques and approaches that you can apply to a range of willow projects.
There will be hot drinks and a festive snack to enjoy whilst you work.
Please note:
- Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Please meet at Fyne Court Music Hall
- Please wear clothes you are happy to craft in.
- Blue badge holder parking, toilets, step-free access to the hall, however the cobbled courtyard is a little uneven.
- Over 12s welcome.
