Meeting of the Weys
It feels like Tilford has become our new favourite place to start walks from - here's another one...
It's no surprise really, since both sources, the Wey south and the Wey North meet at Tilford and then the river travels on to Weybridge to join the Thames. Between Godalming and Weybridge, the Wey Navigation was constructed in 1653 to make navigation easier and quicker.
We walk to Frensham and through the RSPB reserve criss crossing north and south branches of the river until we get back to Tilford. Bring a packed lunch. Nine mile walk
Please note:
- Meet at Tilford - parking around the green.
- Wear walking boots if it has been wet.
- Rough country paths.
