Introduction to Stencil Printing
Learn the fun decorative technique of stencil printing and create hand printed greeting cards, tags and a zipper pouch, all inspired by Kingston Lacy's snowdrops and early spring flowers.
Perfect for beginners, come and enjoy the relaxing art of stencil printing as you create your own collection of beautiful, handmade cards, gift tags and a useful zip pouch.
Using Melanie’s pre-prepared stencils inspired by the Kingston Lacy snowdrops, surrounding gardens and countryside, you’ll learn how to hand-print delicate winter and early spring flowers onto both card and material.
Hand stencilling is a simple yet rewarding printing technique that, once mastered, lends itself to all manner of decorative creativity and is ideal for use on fabric, card, wood and painted surfaces.
By the end of this introductory session, you will have gained an understanding of fundamental brush techniques, how to blend paints to achieve beautiful results, and will have enjoyed layering intricate plant designs and patterns.
All materials, blank cards & zip pouch are included.
Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided throughout the day. Please bring along your own lunch to enjoy, or you can pop to our café for a range of hot and cold lunch options.
This workshop is led by Melanie Ward. You can find out more about her creative work at melaniewardcreative.com
